Laboratories: the main activity of the experimental laboratory of ISI Sementi is to insert genetic resistances to pathogens in different germoplasm of the different species. Important work is done also to detect qualitative and quantitative characteristics of the newly composed varieties.

The seed analysis laboratory, in close contact with the experimental laboratory, tests the quality of the commercial lots by carrying out mainly routine germination and vigour tests with a rate of almost 4000 tests a year. We maintain quality levels by comparing regularly our results with those of different qualified national- and international recognized laboratories.
